I created these images in the years 2015 - 2017. I’m not interested in mimicking painting techniques with the use of software, but at this point I began to incorporate high resolution photographic details of my oil painting into the digital work. I began routinely splitting my time between working on the computer and painting.

The title of this group refers to two of my favorite quick recharge places, the gulf coast at Port Aransas/Padre Island, the riverwalk alongside the San Antonio river a block from my house and to the realization that in the midst of working on these I had, impossibly, reached the same age as the Beatles song “When I’m 64”.
